There are plenty of fence crews in Utah County. Here's what we do differently, and a few things we won't do.
We dig the holes deep
Almost every leaning fence we get called out to fix has the same problem: posts set too shallow, sometimes in nothing but packed dirt. We dig at least 30 inches, which gets below the frost line here, and set every post in concrete. Corners, ends and gate posts get wider holes, because that's where a fence takes the most strain.
You get the price in writing
After we measure, you get a written quote with the price per foot, each gate on its own line, and tear-out if there's an old fence. If we hit something nobody expected once we start digging, like a buried sprinkler main or a pocket of big rock, we stop and talk to you before it changes anything.
We check the rules before you buy anything
Between the city and the HOAs, there are a lot of rules about fences in Saratoga Springs: height, color, how close you can go to the sidewalk, what's allowed on a corner lot. We go over them with you at the estimate, so nobody ends up tearing out a fence the HOA never approved.
We're used to working around builders
So much of Saratoga Springs is still going up that a lot of our jobs are on lots that just got final grade. We work from plot plans, around landscapers, and on a closing date.
We clean up
Dirt from the post holes, leftover concrete, packaging, cut-offs, and the old fence if there was one all leave with us. You shouldn't be picking zip ties out of the lawn for a month.
What we won't do
- Set posts in dirt to hit a lower price.
- Push you to sign anything the day we measure.
- Talk you into vinyl if wood is what you actually want, or the other way around.
- Leave the old fence in a pile by your garage.
And if a few new panels will fix your fence, we'll tell you, even though a whole new fence would be a bigger job for us.
